The HubSpot Partner for Nonprofits. HubSpot Platinum Solutions Partner with three accreditations: Data Migration, Platform Enablement, and Onboarding. Nonprofit-specialized. We design and develop CMS websites on HubSpot Content Hub with Fundraise Up giving, campaign attribution, and accessibility integrated from launch.

Process

How Lake One builds nonprofit websites

Every engagement follows the same disciplined path, refined across our HubSpot implementations for World Hope International, Reflection Riding, LAFD Foundation, Pinky Swear Foundation, Auction of Washington Wines, and Eversight.

  1. Discovery and design

We map your audience, goals, existing systems, and compliance requirements, then produce a wireframe grounded in the HubSpot for Nonprofits theme's library of page templates and modules.

  2. Iteration and approval

We build a second version of the concept and walk you through every change. We apply your brand colors, typography, logo, and photography into the theme's design system.

  3. Build and functional review

Pages get built in HubSpot with live functionality. We review page by page, capturing edits in real time. Live enablement begins here so the platform is never a black box.

  4. Integration and pre-launch

We connect Fundraise Up campaigns, CRM records and lead capture, workflows, transactional emails, and your sending domain. A pre-launch page can go live early so marketing never waits on the full build.

  5. QA and launch

Defect-driven. Every form and CTA tested end to end, lead capture and CRM routing verified, payments confirmed in production, mobile and cross-device review complete, accessibility audit passed.

The offer

What Lake One builds for nonprofits

We offer three tiers of nonprofit website engagements, each built on our proprietary HubSpot for Nonprofits theme. All three ship with Fundraise Up integration, accessiBe accessibility, campaign attribution, and HubSpot CRM configuration.

  1. Launch

For nonprofits under $1M in annual revenue who need a modern website with modern giving. Includes 8 pages assembled from the theme's nonprofit templates, brand configuration, Fundraise Up implementation, HubSpot free CRM setup, analytics baseline, and accessiBe integration. Investment: $1,250 per month for 12 months.

  2. Standard

For nonprofits between $1M and $5M who need deeper website complexity. Includes up to20 pages, custom design treatments, Fundraise Up implementation with branded recurring giving program, up to 3 campaign pages, employer matching via Double the Donation (if subscription exists), content migration, and advanced CRM configuration (requires HubSpot sales/marketing Pro license or above). Investment: $2,500 per month for 12 months.

  3. Bespoke

For nonprofits at $5M+ organizations pursuing a full unified donor experience transformation. Full custom design, unlimited pages, custom object modeling, complex CRM migration from legacy platforms, and access to Lake One's proprietary nonprofit app suite. Investment: engagements typically start at $35K.

Questions we get

What people ask before they start.

Lake One is The HubSpot Partner for Nonprofits and a HubSpot Platinum Solutions Partner. Our work with nonprofits includes CMS website design and development on HubSpot Content Hub, along with CRM implementation, marketing automation, and data operations. We hold three HubSpot accreditations (Data Migration, Platform Enablement, Onboarding) and have built websites for nonprofits ranging from sub-$1M to $40M+ in annual revenue across health, conservation, education, and community services.

Lake One offers three tiers. Launch is $1,250 per month for 12 months for sub-$1M nonprofits. Standard is $2,500 per month for 12 months for $1M to $5M nonprofits. Bespoke engagements typically start at $75K for $5M+ organizations with complex needs. Your HubSpot Content Hub license and Fundraise Up account are purchased directly from those vendors.

Yes. Lake One is a Fundraise Up reseller partner. Fundraise Up integration is native to every website we build. Donate buttons, goal meters, stat counters, impact sliders, and recent donations feeds are theme modules with campaign context wired in, not iframe embeds. Fundraise Up source attribution flows into HubSpot CRM automatically so you can report on channel performance.

For the Launch tier, HubSpot Content Hub Starter (currently $20 per month) is the minimum. For the Standard tier, we recommend Content Hub Professional to unlock features like A/B testing, smart content, and advanced SEO. For Bespoke, licensing depends on scope. HubSpot offers a nonprofit discount program for eligible 501(c)(3) organizations that can reduce license costs by up to 40%.

Content Hub Starter includes the CMS, hosting, SSL, basic forms, and up to 15 blog posts. Content Hub Professional adds SEO recommendations, A/B testing, memberships, smart content, dynamic personalization, adaptive testing, and advanced reporting. Nonprofits running active fundraising campaigns generally get more value from Professional because the personalization and testing features drive conversion improvements over time.

Yes. Website migration from WordPress to HubSpot Content Hub is part of our standard build process. Content migration is included in the Standard tier (up to 25 blog posts and 10 program pages) and available as an add-on for Launch. This is different from CRM migration, which is a separate engagement.

We handle CRM migrations from Blackbaud, Raiser's Edge NXT, Luminate Online, Kindful, Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, and other legacy fundraising CRMs. These are scoped as separate engagements from the website work because they require their own discovery, data mapping, and validation. We hold the HubSpot Data Migration accreditation and have run migrations for nonprofits managing millions in annual giving.

Launch tier: 45 days from kickoff to launch, contingent on content delivery within the first 14 days. Standard tier: 90 days from kickoff to launch, contingent on content delivery within the first 21 days. Bespoke engagements run 6 to 12 months depending on scope. Timelines slip week-for-week if content delivery is late.

Every Lake One nonprofit website is built with accessibility hygiene (semantic markup, keyboard navigation, contrast ratios, focus states, alt text discipline) and integrates accessiBe as an ongoing compliance layer. The client's accessiBe license is purchased separately. We do not claim full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance out of the box because that requires ongoing audit and remediation work that no theme can guarantee. We do provide the foundation and the compliance layer.

Yes. Every tier includes at least one campaign page with a Fundraise Up goal meter, sticky donate button, and impact storytelling modules. Standard tier includes up to three campaign pages, tribute forms, memorial giving flows, and a branded recurring giving program page (Pinky Partners, Hope Partner, or your equivalent). Bespoke can include unlimited campaign pages with custom modules and interaction patterns.

Yes. HubSpot Content Hub is designed for non-technical users to manage content. Our theme is built with drag-and-drop modules, clear content editing patterns, and inline help. We provide training during the Build and Pre-Launch phases so your marketing team can update pages, publish blog posts, and manage forms independently after go-live.

Yes. Our theme ships with a branded recurring giving program page template. We have built monthly donor programs like Pinky Partners (Pinky Swear Foundation) and Hope Partner (World Hope International) with Fundraise Up subscription infrastructure, HubSpot lifecycle tracking, and stewardship flows. Recurring giving program setup is included in the Standard and Bespoke tiers.

Yes. Fundraise Up's peer-to-peer capabilities are supported natively in the theme. Standard and Bespoke tiers include peer-to-peer campaign setup with fundraiser onboarding flows and leaderboard modules. Launch tier can add peer-to-peer as a change order.

The HubSpot nonprofit program provides eligible 501(c)(3) organizations with discounts of up to 40% on HubSpot licenses. This discount applies to your HubSpot license only, not to Lake One's fees. We help eligible clients apply for the nonprofit program during onboarding.

We can build your website on your existing HubSpot Content Hub instance. If your portal needs cleanup or audit before we build, that work is scoped separately as a HubSpot portal audit engagement. Trying to launch a new website on top of a messy HubSpot portal creates problems that surface after go-live, so we handle the cleanup first when it's needed.
